Doctor J Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 My ESP 400 Series Jazz, bought for IR£300 in 1993. Many have taken a shot at the title, but the ESP remains the champ. Quote
Count Bassy Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Tascam MP-BT1 Bass trainer. Not perfect by any means, but the 90% that is right is brilliant. Transformed my practising and hence my playing. Also a second hand Marshall B150 combo for £100. Perfect sound for me and loud enough for most pub gigs. Quote
Bassman Sam Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 My Samson wireless system, ooh the freedom it gives. Quote
paul_5 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 US made Ampeg SVP PRO blackface. lovely piece of kit. Also MXR M80. Quote

Rich Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 My Wal, a bargain 25 years ago and becoming more of a vintage gem with every passing year. Quote

GarethFlatlands Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 My Rat. Tried a load of other distortion/OD/fuzzes and it still finds it's way back on my board. In fact out of all the pedals I've ever owned, it's the only one to still be on there since purchase, although I only pulled my DD3 as it started acting up. The other thing is my Matamp. Great sound, reasonable cost and I live an hour from the factory so I know they'll fix it quickly and properly and not charge me a fortune. I can't imagine ever wanting or needing another amp. Quote

goblin Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I have too much to think of. The John East electronics in the fretless and compressor will pretty much pay for themselves, that said the fretless Warwick (and the fretted) was a damn good buy! I reckon my all leather gig bag will end up being a bag for life, and the Trace rig and dual band SMX Pedal are the mutts nuts. Quote

paul h Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Barefaced Compact. More than any other piece of kit I have owned, it has "keeper" written all over it! Quote

KiOgon Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Ashdown Little Bastard, don't think I'll ever need a different amp Quote
spike Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 My Trace Elliot AH100 amp. I bought it in 1989, it's been my main gigging amp ever since and it's never let me down. Quote

scalpy Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Mackie 1402 VLZ, bought second hand in 1994 It has done everything from being a DI box to being the emergency replacement for a kaput SSL at a medium size pro studio. It's missing a fader control, it's scratched, it's dusty but it just keeps on giving! Quote
goblin Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 First bass I gigged with was the Wal (dad's also a guitarist / bassist and my starter bass wasn't up to the gig) and although other basses have come and gone throughout the time I've been playing, I can't bear the thought of parting with the Wal which'll be hard when I go to uni because as it's still officially his bass, I have to give it back Quote
NickH Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Vauxhall Vectra Estate Messing around with a smaller car was just a constant ballache. Got room for my (nice big heavy) rig, my share of the PA and lighting bits, and a spare seat for an adoring fan or two Quote
martindupras Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 For me, it has to be my Etymotic ER9 ear plugs. (I saw that two others also put that as their choice.) I would like to put a honorable mention for my Sonic Research ST-200 pedal tuner. It's so good that I have two: one for the pedalboard and one that goes wherever I go. - martin Quote
Sawtooth Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 My Analogue Solutions 'Red Square' analogue synth and 'Oberkorn' analogue sequencer - because sometimes I wanna make some bass and I don't feel like pluckin' no strings or playin' no keys or programmin' no sh1t. Quote
