Two cabs are about as loud as one

I have heard this argued a lot on here but I play all the time in my bass room no worries with one 4 X 10 I plugged in another this afternoon, keep the setting the same and my neighbour came round saying, and I quote 'sh*t is falling off of my shelves."

Half the impedance, plus twice the coupling, means 4 times the power going into the air (6db gain), there is sounding louder, but power in the air makes stuff shift off walls.

There are better places for storing 'sh*t' than shelves (personally I've given up collecting the stuff; smells bad after a while...).

I tend to use a porcelain pan to store mine in (it holds loads & seems to be bottomless).
I just stored some in the inlaw's porcelain pan about 10 mins ago as I had some spare.

When I add a 1 x 15 to my 2 x 10 combo, it gets mighty loud!

Oh and yeah, stuff falls off and windows rattle!!!!

Yep, with my old set-up of Ampeg cabs, using the 410 on its own sounded good, but adding the 210 just made the sound sooooo much bigger.

Unfortunately, my back couldn`t deal with them, so its a single light-ish 410 for me from now on.

Yes, and yes!

My neighbours complained, apparently........

I used ear plugs and was still blown away by the shear volume.

I used the Marshall full rig and the line out through my PA.

My friend who lives 6 doors away says he also could hear it with clarity!

I could do this;

Bass -> 4track mixer -> Trace head and QSC power amp. Slave my 1x12 80w combo from the Trace line out. Drive 4x10, 1x15 and 2x10 cabs from various amps.

Has promise.
I think the combo [i]might[/i] get a bit lost.

Hell yes.Technically,they weren't all mine,but a 600w poweramp through two 1 x 18" cabs bi amped from a 400w Peavey mk.6 through two 1x15"s made a lovely noise. Fortunately I live in a detached house.
