Decided to miss this to go see our very own Dick Venom & The Terror Tones play in Gateshead...

...Well. I didn't actually know Fishbone were playing until yesterday. :)

I was going to see them at the Underworld on Wednesday but had to work late, Robin is a top lad.

Just got back. They were fantastic! Surprised but chuffed to see Big Walt back with them as well. The sound was fairly rough but that didn't stop me from jumping round like a 17 year old again! Loved it.

Random Hand were good as well, from what I saw.

Damn - can't believe I missed them as I've been in Durham this weekend. I'll also miss them at home in Glasgow as I'm still in Durham till tomorrow. :-(

bastard. gig cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. money refunded at the venue, but gutted all the same.

to name and shame the venue, it was SUB-91 in Leicester. they didn't even bother to put a sign out saying 'gig cancelled' or similar. tossers.

i think they're part of the 'walkabout' chain of Australian-run pubs. complete cowboys. :)

Jesus, it's a sad day when a band like Fishbone can't sell enough tickets for a gig. Unbelievable.

They only sold 100 tickets at Newcastle.

Luckily they sold another 100 or so on door sales

Bloody Ncle Academy 10pm curfew is a joke though. Norwood wasn't impressed when we saw him at the end.

Great gig as usual, but sound was pretty poor

Is this endemic to O2 (or ex-Carling) Academy venues? I've been to gigs in a few, and every single one has been horrendously boomy and muddy.
