Soliloquy
I use them on my sixes to cut down on sympathetic vibration. I just came across these on Talkbass. purpleblob
Ah thanks for that link. I'd seen these in some magazine and forgot what they were called. Not sure how they compare to a simple scrunchy though And yes, have used a scrunchy on my 8 string to stop sympathetic vibrations as well. Soliloquy
Scrunchies are cheaper .
Dood
Yeah, been using scrunchies for years - great for in the studio and for killing strings when doing all that tappy stuff!
Doddy
Yeah,I've seen them. They look pretty wide though-I wonder how easy they are to slip over the nut and out of the way? I'll probably get a pack if I ever see them anywhere-but I wouldn't go out of my way to order any.
purpleblob
They certainly look a little on the wide side, wouldn't mind trying one, but as mentioned scrunchies are most definitely cheaper (esp. as I pinch the wife's ).
JTUK
Nope....don't use them and have no need for them.... thankfully. Just can't go with the idea, personally Edited May 1, 2011 by JTUK

Ross
Occasionally but I utilise open notes a lot so yeah... I use an old wristband I found under the sofa currently, does the same job.
