RhysP Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 These Hamers with the 2TEK bridge are absolutely superb - if I hadn't just bought a new 5 string three days ago I'd have snapped this up. Well worth £500 if anyone is looking for a great Jazz style 5ver.
kurcatovium Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Very nice hammer. Unfortunatelly it has too narrow string spacing...
BottomE Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Ah man - looks lovely. Possibly one of the most underrated basses ever! The build quality on these are amazing justifying the £1100 price tag when they originally hit the market. The 2 Tek is the best bridge ever. Makes my badass look like a cheap toy. If only i played 5's. Have a super Hamer bump on me. £500 is a steal.
BottomE Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Have a bump on me again. Guys this is an amazing bass. You Britishers have got no idea how good these are. However did they win the war?
Dodge Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I'd love to see that Hamer, but you're at the wrong end of the country sadly.
angelagnostic Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Info on Hamer Cruise 5 in response to requests: Weight: 9.8lbs String spacing at bridge: 15mm Pick-ups: stock (I think) Basslines
silverfoxnik Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Surely that can't be 15mm at the bridge?
angelagnostic Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011
Surely that can't be 15mm at the bridge?
True dat. I have checked with others who reckon its 16 or 16.5, but I reckon its 15.
silverfoxnik Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Wow - that's very narrow.. It doesn't look 15mm to me in the phots; more like 17mm.. But you must be right! Anyway - very nice looking bass and highly regarded, especially on TalkBass.. I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet???
Ghosts Over Japan Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 thats a very pretty Hamer, reminds me of the old Trace basses and that price is insane, I'd take that instantly if I had any money at all
warwickhunt Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Not that it helps you but I'm another that would have been knocking on your door if that Hamer had been a 4 stringer... in fact at that price had your 5er been sub 9lb (the 2-Tek accounts for about 2lb of that total weight ) I'd probably have taken a punt to see if it converted me!
BottomE Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Insane value for that Hamer. Has it not gone yet? This country!
angelagnostic Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks Ash but the way things are right now I couldn't afford it (hence the price reduction in the hope for a quick 'I need a car' sale)
ash Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 No problem if someone buys my Tele I will be in touch as this looks a lovely bass
angelagnostic Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Lots of interest but Hamer Cruise still here for £350!
