PURPOLARIS Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Just about to tackle this song, sounds like I might have a bit of work ahead of me Has anyone else ever played it or have you managed to avoid it all these years. Quote

Great bassline. Treat the song in small sections and it's a doddle. Quote

stevie Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 It's OK - I found a couple posted by some nice people on the interweb. Quote
JTUK Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 we are going to do it but might have to take it down a tone...which will make it a bit harder..plus transposing brings its own problem. Depends how accurate you want it to be... it is a pretty simple line in itself...but I think some of the turnarounds are ugly on the track so I've cleaned them up, from my POV. The piano part is more crucial so just stay out of the way of him.. Quote
Jambo10 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 We were going to do it in our band...I spent aaaaages learning it, the wife was driven round the bend by my practicing it constantly. Eventually nailed it......and pretty chuffed with myself I was too. Something in the studio at rehearsal didn't sound right, (not the bass part I hasten to add) and it got ditched. Well peeved I was!!! Quote

Monckyman Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Used to sing and play it, some of the little 8 note runs in and out of the Chorus need concentration, but as has been said, it will avail you nought if the piano isn`t nailed down. Once you crack it, you`ll love playing it coz it swings. MM Quote

We don't have a piano, it's for my 3 piece Acoustic Band, singer/guitarist, drummer and myself. Quote
