Heathy Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 In a recent issue of Bass Guitar Magazine (64) Billy Sheehan said: "When I do clinics I always tell people, 'Go and learn the whole of Sgt. Pepper - you'll come out of it a better bass player'". Well, armed only with my Beatles songbook I've decided that I will put this to the test. The reason for posting this is to see whether anyone wants to join me and share thoughts etc. Kind of like a book club. But different. Cheers Quote
Ross Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I'll join you I'm a big Beatles fan but I've never learned any of the lines, I'm gonna have to find the transcriptions now though. Quote
paul_5 Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Yeah OK, I'm in. I love 'Peppers'. Not transcribed anything in a while, so this should get me back in the swing of things. Quote

And not just the basslines, work out the chords and how Macca's lines relate to them. It's good stuff. Quote
Ross Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Might wait til after exams if we're going that serious. Had to cut down my practise to a max of an hour a day, it's at this point I realise I should have gone to more lectures and then I wouldn't have to relearn most of the course Quote
