TomKent
Yup, another track! The Chicken Also note the amazing midi horns I use, if anyone knows of a decent horn plugin I'd be most grateful if you could point me in the direction of it. MuckedUpFunkies
Nice performance of possibly my fav song ever. I think you should increase the tempo but thats just personal preference. In terms of a better plug in have you tried Kontact? =) Dan Edited May 6, 2011 by MuckedUpFunkies
TomKent
Cheers man The tempo is slightly slower because my wrists have been giving me hell the past few days and any faster would've killed me. Just looked at Kontact, blooming expensive but knowing them it's worth it.
lowdown
Cheers man The tempo is slightly slower because my wrists have been giving me hell the past few days and any faster would've killed me. Huge amount of libraries out there that sound pretty much spot on. As far as Pop/Jazz horns go, there are four really worth a look. Not just for the sounds but also for the articulations [thats what makes them come alive and more realistic/usable] Word of warning - it gets expensive...so if its just for re doing the Chicken, I would stick with General MIdi sounds Check out the Demo sounds Garritan Jazz & Big Band [come with own sample/patch player] http://www.garritan.com/index.php?option=c...4&Itemid=56 Mojo Horns http://www.vir2.com/instruments/mojo-horn-section Chris hein horns http://www.chrishein.net/CHH%20V1.5/chhv1_productsite.htm A oldie but still going strong - [you would need to convert in Kontakt format - but Kontakt 4 does this from within] http://avaxhome.ws/software/software_type/...brass_akai.html Garry Edited May 7, 2011 by lowdown
MuckedUpFunkies
Kontact really is brilliant. It will open up so many more possibilities for backing tracks too. The slower tempo does give a great feel though so doesnt really matter. The way to go with all PC equipment is too find a nice student and buy it in there name =L I got Kontakt for around £180 I think Dan

WalMan
Have you got IK Sampletank. They doe a free player & sound set now, and you can build quite a nice layered set from that I think - I have the full version and a load more sample sets so I may have built mine from more than comes with the free version
