My band gigged with DSF a few years back so I've spent several hours in her company - she's a total pro and a thoroughly charming & delightful person into the bargain. Plus there are no pics or videos that do her justice. Jon. Quote

Clarky Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I reckon Danny Thompson would be very entertaining and teach me more about DB in an hour than a year of playing on my own For electric bass, would have to be Lemmy! Funniest bass player ever Quote

Delberthot Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011
Well, that took a millisecond to choose!
Oh yes! Without a shadow of a doubt, the man responsible for me playing bass today. I don't play anything like him but I love his playing and sound. I could've chosen Flea, Chris Squier or any of the other influences in my life but JD is the man as far as I am concerned. I would like to meet Jack Bruce as well and possibly Sting to see if I could prise his '57 single coil Precision out of his hands. Quote
risingson Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Pino! Or Anthony Jackson, I'd be really, really stuck choosing. Quote
