The height/position would be fine if it didn't remind me of the more frequent sight of middle-aged male bass players who rest their moob on their bass, like a bass bra! *cringes* Quote
ahpook Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 i must be getting old...i didn't even consider the pulchritude of the bass player i chose. hey ho... Quote
Heathy Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I would choose John Paul Jones Would have said Tal or Esparanza but it appears that I am a little too far down the queue... Quote
hillbilly deluxe Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 You'd be miserable too if you were playing an overpriced Stagg copy. Quote

I don't believe I've ever seen a better use for the 'comfort body contour' on a Jazz style bass than this - It's what Leo would have wanted. Quote

(I think it must be that there's not enough of *the above* use of the contour to erase it from my brain!) Quote
jacko Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Already spent several hours on a few occasions in the company of Jimmy Johnson and I'd happily do it again as he's such a great guy to hang out with. Quote
AttitudeCastle Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Billy Sheehan! I'd get bass tips while we cook a curry! (He is apprently a fantastic chef and loves spicy food! :lol ) Quote
TheRev Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Danny Thompson. I chatted with him for about ten minutes at a festival a couple of years ago. The bloke has so much experience and wisdom that an hour in his company would make you a better bassist, even if neither of you touched a bass in that hour. Quote
Linus27 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 As Tal has been taken I will go for Amanda Tallen Quote
barneythedog Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Well it'd have to be Tal if she didn't remind me of my DAUGHTER. God I'm old ............. Quote
