I`ve decided not to fit a new neck to the Squier Jazz, partly because a new neck would be costly, but mostly because the original neck is an 89 Samick Korean and feels lovely. My first problem was a stripped truss rod nut, which I`ve managed to extract after grinding down a 5.5mm allen key to fit. The nut is smooth on the inside and has a crack on the lip so I think for it ze vor is owfer. So, Allparts do nuts for under a tenner but I need to know if they`ll fit the Korean. Has anyone any knowledge or advise about how I might determine what size to buy? Is there a recognized way to measure the old nut?
