Thornybank Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) Fender USA Precision Sunburst, Maple Been looking at P basses? Here you go...! [attachment=79482:sb_p_head.JPG] [attachment=79484:sb_p_back.JPG] [attachment=79483:sb_p_front.JPG] Fender Precision Bass made in USA in 2006. S1 switching system. Strings through body option. Nice job on the 3-colour burst - not too/too much red. Subtly figured maple fingerboard with almost no (any?) fret wear. Sweet action. Surprisingly light weight. Hangs just right. I have D’Addario flatwounds on it, and it still has plenty of lively attack. What a sweetie. I have set it up the way I like. A plectrum pounder might find the action a little low, a touch player might want to zero it out. Plenty of adjustment available either way. Some light backrash, a couple of tiny dinks, but that all disappears with the first note. Web price is £1000+ new. *£550 caseless, £575 in a decent gig bag, £650 in a new condition Fender black tolex ‘retro’ case (the £169 one). Can deliver Edin/Glas or I can pack and you can arrange a courier. Happy to answer any questions, more photos can happen if you tell me what you want to see. It's a good 'un. krispn Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Looks nice with the black plate. This is a nice bass - had the pleasure of trying it out last week and its everything you want in a P bass. The S-1 does change the tone but you'll decide pretty early on if you prefer one tone or the other - it is a P bass after all! Bump
Thornybank Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) Black plate courtesy of Krispin. Ta, chief. White plate can be re-put if preferred. Bizzy nite - well down page 2 already! Edited May 10, 2011 by Thornybank
