I have a metal control plate, which is shaped like the bottom part of a P-bass pickguard, with 4 holes.

I have a preamp to fit in it.

Unfortunately, the pots will not go into the existing holes, I would need to rearrange them (pots mounted on preamp PCB, can't be altered).

So I am considering having a copy of the existing plate made, and then drill the new holes into it to fit th preamp.

Does anybody know where I could have that done?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind... but for now I've had a change of heart and will go with the plate I already have and the correct preamp... getting too complicated for what was a simple "strip the body of the bass and reasemble" story :)

Yep, cheers. Thinking of doing something like this, but haven't sold enough of the Rick plates to pay for it yet. I was going to copy the plate I have on this bass:

Nice bass, and interestingly that plate is pretty much the same shape I wanted :)
