Musicman20
Hi all This thread has been long coming if im honest. I do buy quite a lot of gear, but recently Ive had a few problems. Some of the gear I ordered, as can be seen by previous threads, turned up not 100% 'right' for a new product. This obviously is the manufacturer, not the store who sells it. Its left to the store to organise the returns etc, and be patient whilst I have yet more problems. I have to give Darren and Chris at the Bass Merchant a big thank you for their help over the past 3-6 months. Before this, I was happily buying with no problems, but recently it seemed all things went wrong at once. They have backed me all the way and been very patient and understanding. The icing on the cake was their help with a Ray which was only 5-6 months old. If you want to deal with a very friendly, responsive, and well priced store, I can thoroughly recommend the Bass Merchant. Ive had some replacement items over the past few days and I am happy to say it looks like things are better now....I still have some orders incoming after my huge bass/amp sell off, so hopefully all will be fine now. PS - Their Genz Streamliner prices are very good!
Prime_BASS
Personally I prefer bass direct. I'm still waiting on a gig Skinz bag I ordered before crimbo maybe I should give em a call?
Lozz196
I too had very positive dealings with The Bass Merchant. I was looking for a lightweight 4x10, and called them up. Must have spent about 15 mins discussing different cabs, and perfomance etc, and at no point was I made to feel like an irritating time-waster - whcih some places do manage to make you feel like. And the cab I ended up with, the Eden Nemesis does exactly what I was after, so am very happy with my Bass Merchant experience.
Heathy
I have always thought that most music shops would benefit from being firebombed! However, it is always a pleasure dealing with the Bass Merchant. Nothing is too much trouble.
farmer61
I think both Bass Merchant and Bass Direct provide excellent service, I have used both quite recently.
skej21
Bass Merchant has been fantastic in all dealings I've had with them. Wanted to buy a bass (Overwater Aspiration Contemporary J 5) from them but I had found it cheaper online. As I wanted to buy from a reputable bass specialist, I talked it through with Darren and he was more than happy to do a price match so that I could keep my custom with them. I've also bought some Aguilar gear through them as they are a UK dealer and it has been fantastic. Could not fault them and think they set a fantastic example to other (bass) retailers.
