pantherairsoft Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I like it very much… Got a great swing to it (for something in 7), good work! (Nice bass in the Avatar as well! ) Quote
bobbass4k Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Nice to see people branching out into odd time sigs, you don't really get a lot of 7/8 outside of prog, probably my favourite time signature. Quote
Pete Academy Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I love it. But beware those that will class it as lift music, as a recent slap thread showed. Quote
algmusic Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I really like it. There's something nice about odd times or more complex time, when it's not driven by ego.. I think the keys is to try and let it breathe.. I was digging around and was reminded of Greenhouse by the Yellow Jackets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSJrbEmvsyo...feature=related It depends how you feel when I'm on bass I feel it more like 7/4 but when I'm on drum I feel as 14/8 These guys seem to make odd times feel like just 4/4 Quote
urb Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Excellent work - loving the Sei 6 as well... I like Sei basses Quote
malcthebass Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011
Excellent work - loving the Sei 6 as well... I like Sei basses Thankyou! (although its actually my fender jazz on recording) the whole thing is actually about 8 mins long - very hard to keep up groove, intensity, and accuracy with this this type of music (well for me anyway!)
Quote
