henry norton Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Never Seen One Of These Before Ignoring the information on the website, has anyone seen a two pickup 70's Tele bass before? The Badass, contoured body, blocked & bound board make me think this is a bitsa one off. I've been a bit obsessed with Wide-Range equipped Tele basses lately, probably due to my 2 decade relationship with Precisions mixed up with my more recent discovery of old Gibson EB-0s. Quote

hairyhaw Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Intriguing. Can't decide whether I like it or not. It's like a Tele Custom that's been fed Miraclegro. Quote
EssentialTension Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 There have been a couple of threads about these; probably about a year ago. Here's one: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...lecaster+custom Quote

hillbilly deluxe Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 1 Precision +1 pickup,2 knobs,1 scratchplate,1 x3 way switch =$6k = the pi55 has been taken. Quote
henry norton Posted May 14, 2011 Author Posted May 14, 2011 Cool, mystery solved. I don't much like the way it's been done but if it had a slab body, dots, bbot, and a different shaped scratchplate I might just be into it big time. I wonder if they used original CuNiFe magnet pickups or did they have to use Squier VM's? Quote
Wooks79 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I like it, would get one built in white if I come into some cash... ever. Quote
