thisnameistaken Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I bought a bass at the weekend that came as part of a job lot of stuff, so I'm currently working my way through all the stuff and figuring out what's staying and what's going. Included was this Roland MIDI synth setup. I'm really tempted to keep it, it's a fascinating bit of kit, so I am offering it up here before I get too attached to it. I already take too much gear to gigs as it is. Everything is in good working order, I've got the original box (bit tatty), all the cables, PSU, the installation booklet and lots of bits of gubbins for installing the pickup, only missing the manual for the GR-20 floor unit but it's downloadable as a PDF from Roland's website. I can do photos this evening if anyone wants them. *SOLD* GR-20 *SOLD* GK-3B Edited June 20, 2011 by thisnameistaken
thisnameistaken Posted May 21, 2011 Author Posted May 21, 2011 Willing to accept near offers for this now. If it doesn't shift in a few days it'll go on eBay. Cheers.

lucatus Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Hi there, just wondering if the pick goes on 4 or 5 strings, strange enough couldn´t find the answer on the Roland webpage... Cheers.

thisnameistaken Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Ped is correct - it's a long pickup and there are very specific instructions in the manual for fitting to it to 4, 5 and 6-string basses.

thisnameistaken Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 I've been meaning to put these on eBay but can't seem to get around to it, so here's a quick price reduction to see if I can tempt anyone here before I list it: £200 plus postage (£15) for the lot.

thisnameistaken Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 The GR-20 has now been sold but the GK-3B is still available for £65 incl. postage.
Monckyman Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) Was interested but the added cost of the conversion unit puts it a little higher than my "take a punt" barrier. Edited June 6, 2011 by Monckyman
thisnameistaken Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 Fair enough. Like I said I got this in a job lot of stuff so it was a good opportunity to give pitch-to-MIDI a try and then sell it on, given that I didn't really have a value on this specific item in the first place. I've tried to price it close to what they usually go for on eBay, so I would hope it's still in the 'worth a try' resale value region.
thisnameistaken Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 Bump - GK-3B sale didn't happen, so it's still available.
