PosthumanPat
I've just made the decision to step up to the bass after 20 years of guitar. I was getting in a rut with the guitar and the sound/feel of the bass seems much more satisfying so I thought I'd give it a go. Took delivery of my first bass today, a Wesley Monarch, which I have to say seems a very reasonable bass and extremely reasonable for the price. Action was a little high initially but is now okay. My intention is to learn the instrument properly, something I didn't do with the guitar.

Surfer-bee
My first bass was a Wesley and it was a great guitar for what I payed for it. Unfortunately it was bright pink, so after I got a bit better at bass, it had to go and now I have a black Dean Playmate.
