I'd been after one of these since approx. 1995 and had pretty much given up hope, buying other fretless basses instead which didn't look quite right or feel comfortable to play, when one fell into my lap very recently. It would appear to date from 1990.

Ooh, that unlined board is lovely. Enjoy.

Warmoth Precision neck with ebony board, no idea about body wood, but it weighs marginally less than Gibraltar. Sustains for ever. Wizard '64s. Offered it for sale here, no one wanted it. In retrospect I'm rather happy about that :)

Yeah, I would of probably been interested in this as well if I had seen it at the time.

After quite a few gigs I still think the Electro I bought off @Hellzero is on of the nicest looking and sounding fretless basses I ever owned.

Gorgeous looking bass.

A Basschat Bitser - ex-Beedster 70's neck on a stripped 90-'s re-issue body, with DiMarzios.  Luverly...

That is just lovely, and so very similar to my current fave bass (pics to follow)

I try to record my fretless as much as possible so when a Dutch singer/songwriter/author asked me to play bass on a couple of her new tracks I immediately brought my inner Pino to the surface and went berserk. She edited some licks out of the song but still pretty  proud of the result. Music is in Dutch.

Bass used here is still the only fretless I'll ever need:

Very well done, sir. At about 2:35 I felt like you were channeling Kate Bush era John Giblin, which is a good thing. 👏👏👏

Honestly I've never heard of mr Giblin before, but I guess I'll take it as a compliment😄

Do, he is held high esteem amongst our BC brethren.

So,  this is a lined but fretless Simnett 32 " scale,  piezo bridge and custom active pre-amp.  Built by our very own Bc'er @Simo.   I see he has resurrected his workshop blog,  where,  we can drool over his other creations.

I’ve only got one of these left now (Stingray) but it dawned on me, of all the fretless basses I’ve owned, they’ve all been unlined.

Something very ‘proper musician’ about an unllined fretless. Until I play it on a dark stage 😁

I really love it too... Except the oval pickup.

Maybe if the curve on the bottom of the fretboard matched...???

Not my type of music, but I love the rising bass line when the musical interlude starts. We need more fretless bass in music :)

Westone Thunder 1a was my first bass...I'm waiting to find a 11a or 111a with a broken headstock so I can fit it with a headless system.

Hope that I don't have to wait in vain...hang on a minute...who said that???
