It's a maple and wenge thru-neck with ash wings and a walnut top. The ebony board has side blue LED's. Pickups are by Lightwave.

Since sending you the S1 BottomE and despite loving my NXT4 I have come to realise that I can't live without a fretless electric bass as there are just some songs that won't work on upright, so...I will be properly joining in with this thread as soon as Bass Doc gets back from holiday and fits the new fretless neck on my Geddy Jazz!

...a little teaser shot

I have it back now! It's superb to play! I've never had a jazz like it!! Will take pics when I get chance as without them 'it never happened'!

My newly acquired Fender Jaco Tribute bass. I prefer a scratchplate and I don't want to emulate/hero-worship Jaco so I have added a tort plate from Howard the Bass Doc and ditched the roundwound strings in favour of meaty-sounding TruBass black nylon strings. Very nice!

Yes, yes they do. Considering moving on my fretted W&T at some stage, just cos it doesn't get any play time. Not sure though.
[/quote]

I hope to be able to post the pics of my soon to come (probably in couple of weeks) fretless W&T in this thread :)
But it is not a Zoid shape.
I almost sold my Zoid VM6 (fretted) at one stage, but thanks God the sale fell through.

A snapshot of what has effectively taken my breath away as THE FRETLESS .....well .. for me anyway ...
:) i lack a superlative ... just wow ....

Unbelievably beautiful to look at .. easy to play ( even with my hamfingers ) .. tone to die for for as soon as i managed to open the incredible packaging of my Bass buddy Solartron ...

Ahhh Fretless ......its like a fine wine by a firseide or heated leather seats in the depths of winter .......( even if ya cant move cos youre wheel wheel drive and stuck going nowhere )

Oh btw its a Nexus ......

check out .....http://www.nexus-guitars.com/ for more info ... ( not affiliated in any way )

An ACG I like!!! Well...not like, but love - 2nd photo, chunky but narrow neck, I can imagine what that's like to play. Cool original headstock too. Great photography btw :gas:
