Clarky Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 My newly acquired Fender Jaco Tribute bass. I prefer a scratchplate and I don't want to emulate/hero-worship Jaco so I have added a tort plate from Howard the Bass Doc and ditched the roundwound strings in favour of meaty-sounding TruBass black nylon strings. Very nice! [attachment=119244:P1050517.JPG] Quote
Mr Bassman Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Oh Yes! much nicer with the tort! Quote

mcgraham Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 The sound is epic. I've had professional musicians comment how they didn't even realise it was fretless til they came up close, simply because it sounds as punchy and as solid as a fretted bass would. Good intonation helps too Quote

I almost sold my Zoid VM6 (fretted) at one stage, but thanks God the sale fell through. Quote
