That's lovely BB, is that an East pre you've got in there?

I see you've recently acquired a GWB35, a really nice bass, I like mine very much.

Alright, alright. I'm beginning to wish I'd not sold it! :P

Its gone to a good home though. Plus I'm enjoying the LTD ESP I've bought since.

Yes, it's an East U-Retro. Monstrous tone from 9v.

I keep on hearing good things about these, must choose a bass to swap one in ... Maybe the status shark 5 (fretless of course).

They really produce as much power as an 18v circuit. It does take a bit of time to get used to all the knobs and what they do (no further comment on that  ).

Peter Griffin style giggle...

This just arrived today. Considering I hadn't even got an email confirming the money had cleared, imagine my surprise when a knock on the door was accompanied by a bass sized box :)

I just sent back a Mouse 30, which although it was amazing, it was too small for me and I seem to be way more accustomed to unlined fretless than I realised. That is now a bargain waiting for someone else - check out http://www.knightonm...s/prod_908.html great guys to deal with.

I'm loving the MB2, sounds amazing, punchy if you want it but mellow and blooming played at the neck. Weight is a slender 5lb 13oz and balanced as well.

Oh that is truly pornographic; soooo nice, I'm very jealous. Congrats on a peachy purchase.

A Rob Allen MB2 is one of my dreams and that is a particularly wet dream.

I've just been looking through the case candy. Turns out the bass was made in 2002. Crazy. It looks mint.
I even read the manual, which was actually useful as it pointed out to only change the strings one at a time to maintain the tension on the piezo bridge saddle and stop it from moving. Not that I ever intend to change them...

here a little update on my humble guild pilot. added some nordstrand pickups:

and this is how it sounds now with 2 year old TI flats in my latest production.

A new one (to me) - Cort GB75 fretless with East U-retro pre. Lovin' it :)

Congratulations! Its a lovely instrument, used to be mine and the only reason I sold it was the arrival of my AGC ⬇

Seeing the above, here's another fretless beaut, that may not be to everyone's taste:

I've just done it up as a refin and done a build diary, if anyone's interested its here

The body is poplar with "go faster stripes" in purpleheart. The bridge and nut are new and made of ebony.

This is an Antoria fretless that I used to have and it went to a forum member

Even more bizzare is an Aria ZZB that had been defretted, again it went to another froum member

I bought this from Rumour6 and stupidly sold it. An early 80s Fernandes Jazz with EMGs

I bought this 1963 Hofner from a forum member with the intention of returning it to its former glory but I just didn't have the time. Frets horribly pulled, stripped, painted green then stripped again - that should have been the fate of the person who did this

Squier VM Jazz bought from a forum member then went elsewhere

Without a shadow of a doubt the best fretless I ever owned and I'm in the process of saving for another

Yamaha TRB6 II defretted at the Bass Centre and fitted with DR multi coloured strings. That was a beast

I know this may be a bit off topic, but those lawsuit-era Japanese copies of Fender and Gibson basses were killer! I've just bought an '80 Fernandes P-bass, black/maple (I love that combo), and it can compete with almost any Fender out there. Sure, it's not as good as many of those vintage P-basses sold for thousands (and more) but it can give any modern Fender a run for the money.
