chipmunk_jr
I have been looking for a stand for my thunderbird and was wondering if anyone knew of a stand that will hold it????
Gust0o
Will a Hercules guitar stand, or something similar, not work? Pretty sure I had mine on that stand - I certainly did for the Ironbird, and that was a whole lot more problematic shape-wise!
Machines
I use a Stagg one but because of the way the padded fork slots into the main stand, it twists at an angle that allows the T-Bird to remain upright. I'll take a pic later if I remember..
Grand Wazoo
Get an Hercules stand, hang it by the neck that should do it no probs. neepheid
Hercules stand - get the one with the fold up back support rather than the padded legs - the GS412B not the GS414B. It will hang from the headstock with the auto grip and the shape of the bottom edge is irrelevant.
Delberthot
For about the 20th time - ta da: less than a fiver from Thomann. the bass will not slide off it regardless of how it looks. i have used this for my thunderbird at every gig I've done since I bought it last year

The one I have is a very similar design and all the gigs and time at home it has never slipped off. It does look dodgy but trust the magic. essexbasscat
[attachment=80534:catch___o_matic.jpg] The Catch - o - matic. Holds any shape bass. I've owned one for over ten years and still going strong.

misrule
+1 for Hercules. Mine sits quite happily on one of those yellow and black jobs. Cheers Mark

Lorne
If it can hold this Then you'll have no issues with a Thunderbird on a Hercules stand
bassmachine2112
Ditto on the stagg one-cheap n cheerful and does the trick due to the bottom bit swivelling. Always wondered what they catch-o-matic ones were called-well cool but stagg is cheaper and does a great job
