FS: Alfred Knoll bow, french style - OUT ON TRIAL

Recommended Posts

My first serious bass bow. German made and stamped 'Alfred Knoll' which tends to mean the better bows of their range. I got it about 8 years ago for just under £400.
Round Pernambuco stick, wire lapping. Half-mounted ebony frog with pearl eye.
I had it rehaired to black, as at the time I vastly preferred the extra grip and ease of note starting afforded by the coarser hair.
A bit of a TB chat on hair: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f2/bow-hair-...-pepper-521106/

Pretty sure this model is now discontinued/updated, this place in USA has what looks like the thing at USD550 plus shipping and any import taxes.

Including a nice lined case, I'm looking for £330.
Only selling it as I'm now totally into german style bows and this one sits, forlorn, on the sidelines!

Bump for 'forgot to say'...

Weight (well, mass I suppose technically) is 126g.
Length 722mm, 28 7/16" including button.

Also forgot to say that at the time of buying it I tried four bows in the 250-400 quid range, this one being the most expensive and noticeably the clearest tone of the four.
