Hi there,

Just discovered thsi site and think its great that there is somewhere for the 4(or more) stringers to hang out. I've been playing for 26 years and am currently playing in a rock covers band(hey it pays the rent!) current rig is an Ashdown Classic 1000 head and an Ashdown Classic Neo 410 cab which is simply beautiful, Main bass is an old 70's P bass which i love and thats about it, apart nfrom maybe a couple of leads!

Anyway look forward to getting to know everyone here and get some good low end discussion.

Noel
I think you're the only person on here with a Klystron... what do you think of it ?
I'm the only person on here to have a klystron? Wow I feel special! :)

I absolutely love it, more clarity than my previous ABM(not that the ABM was muddy) and just what you'd expect from an Ashdown the fatness and the warmth but with that little bit extra to my ears. Much more harmonic and also loud! Best thing is that it doesnt seem to compress much when pushing it, it just gets louder! Not sure if the differences are the speakers or the head but seriously I have gone through everything over the last couple of decades and I wouldnt trade this rig for anything, I truely understand why so many big bands use the gear. Plus best of all, Made In England!
