Guitar - Jan Akkerman
Keyboards - Rick Wakeman (saves any awkwardness with having Thijs van Leer in)

Bass - me myself I

I'm having a bluesy/Stonesy week, so-

Charlie Watts - drums
Me - bass :)
Franz Nicolay - keys
Tom Waits - vocals/piano/whatever he bloody wants to do
Keith Richards - guitar/vocals
Ian Siegal - guitar/vocals

To be honest, I'd rather be playing guitar or drums, but it's MY fantasy lineup and they're all better than me.

Not sure how this would sound but would be good fun being the bassist.

Steve Walsh (Kansas) - vocals
David Gilmour - guitar
Steve Hackett - guitar
Jim Gilmour (Saga) - keys
Terry Bozzio - drums

John Wetton - as my back up bassist / vocalist. :)

Dave

Drums - Vinnie Colaiuta
Rhythm Guitar - David Rhodes
Percussion - Ruth Underwood
Miscellaneous Extra Guitar, Keyboards, Vocal, Percussion, Electronics etc as required - Matt Johnson
Piano and Lead vox - my bandmate Jo, cos we'd be performing our songs and I couldn't really do them without her...
Bass - Me, n'est pas?
Steve Perry (vocals)
Tommy Shaw (gtr/bv's)
Neal Schon (lead guitar)
Todd Sucherman & Deen Castronovo (double drummers)
Neil Peart (percussion)
Steve Porcaro (keys)
Tower Of Power horns, Memphis horns & Chicago horns (one massive horn section!)
It must be my Friday afternoon mood, but the idea of Neil Peart being relegated to percussion in favour of double drummers made me chuckle (no offence to all the percussionists out there...). Are you sure he'd take the job?
Josh Freese - Drums
Brent Hinds - Guitar & Vocals
Steve Brodsky - Guitar & Vocals
Trent Reznor - Synths & whatever else he feels like really
Me - Bass & Vocals
Hmmmm....

A fun band of guys would be

Guitar / Vocals - Steven Brodsky (Cave In)
Guitar / Vocals - Devin Ocampo (Faraquet/Medications)
Drums - Darren Zentek (Channels/Kerosene 454) or Joe Easley (Dismemberment Plan) or Jason McGerr (Death Cab For Cutie)
Bass - me thankyou.

Records would be produced by J. Robbins.

I think he's lucky to be offered a job at all alongside Sucherman and Castronova...I think they're both way better players.

I've heard some fantastic singers live, but I think I'd have to go for:
Vocals/Guitar - Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree)
Vocals/Lead Guitar - Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth)
Drums - For this kind of project I'd have to pick Chad Smith (his feel is amazing, and as for the sound - just go listen to stadium arcadium)
Note if the project was heavier I'd have to recruit Marco Minneman/Gene Hoglan for the job.
Bass - If not me then I'd have to let Steve DiGiorgio take charge on a fretless!

It's his own fault.... he acually describes himself as a 'percussionist' rather than a drummer! :)

Keyboards - Roddy Bottum (Faith No More)
*sigh* Had to sack Roddy - he just didn't get what we were trying to do with this band.

I'd like to dismiss rumors of the band's demise, we are stronger than ever having secured the services of the amazingly talented Kristen Lawrence. (http://halloweencarols.com/)

Ideally I'd have had John Bonham on the tubs, but as that isn't possible I'd go for:

Drums - Steve Jordan - John Mayer Trio
Vocals - Paul Rodgers - from the original Free lineup - where he was, in my opinion at his best
Me on 4 string duties
Keys / vocals - Dr John
Guitars - Audley Freed

I would give a nut to be in that band.........
