hellothere
I had one of my basses (the Ibanez Iceman) laid on my bed and the neck was sticking out. I accidentally knocked a wheely chair into the neck. After the initial look over it looked fine but I've just noticed two cracks/scratches coming fro the neck pocket. Could hitting the neck further up cause a scratch/crack in the paintwork near the base of the neck? Also is there anyway of touching it up and will they get worse? At the moment they arn't really noticable. I'll take some pics if I can find my camera.
Ou7shined
They are fairly common but are more associated with expansion and contraction of the neck and pocket and their respective resistances to each other. Provided you don't do it again, it should remain fairly stable... but you'd be the best judge of that as only you know how big a whack you gave it.
