duckman
Hi, I'm currently craving for a fretless Wal Mk1 and my trusted Wal pro I fretless has to go. Wal Pro basses were the first production basses from Electric Wood. Approximately 700 basses were produced from 1978 to 1980. The Bass in question was modded three years ago. According to the people at Wal, this instrument was a passive fretted ProI (cherry red) from 1978. One of of the previous owners had it defretted en stripped to natural. The plastic pickguard was replaced by a metal one. To suit my personal style I had the pup placed towards the bridge and in the meanwhile had it refinished to black (this job could have been done better!). The neck was reglued and this baby has low action and the humbucker produces a very high output. please don't hesitate to ask questions 1350 is what I had in mind. Preferably collected in Ghent or Antwerp. Both MK1 were sold by the time I could react, so sorry to inform yyou I decided to keep it Edited June 23, 2011 by duckman
The Twickerman
That's a handsome looking Wal. Looks evil in black. I've always fancied one of these - but no funds right now. Good luck with the sale.
