Clarky Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 (edited) I bought this so I could convert my fretless '71 P/J into a fretted bass if needed. Having sold the fretless this is surplus to requirements. The neck cost around £100-110 (can't remember exactly) and the Gotoh GB-4N tuners £46 (also includes a Fender-alike string tree which cost about a fiver). The Gotoh's didn't slot exactly into the (slightly larger) holes in the headstock so I put a small piece of paper around each tuner to hold them in tightly. It works fine but if you are being picky you would probably want to remove them and put them in slightly more neatly! How about [s]£110[/s] £100 plus post, about a third less than what it cost me? All in perfect nick as never left house (edit: a couple of the tiny screws on the rear of the tuners are a bit stripped as I hadn't made the holes counter-sunk quite enough but could easily be removed if needs be) Edited June 6, 2011 by Clarky
outsider70 Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Do you have a pic of the back of the neck. Is it a gloss finish? Tony
Clarky Posted May 30, 2011 Author Posted May 30, 2011 Here is a pic of the back. It has a thin gloss finish, not thick and gloopy like some real '70s Fender necks!
