What is says above :) £100 is of course excessive for a bridge, even a Badass, but then they're not available new any more, and the nickel versions were always a little hard to come by anyway. I bought this for £100 from eBay recently with a view to putting it on a vintage bass (nickel looks that little bit more old and beaten than chrome), but decided against it. It's the most recent version with what Leo Quan described as improved alloy, tone and sound transmission.

The prices have really rocketed recently.

Yours is much better value than the one that I was watching on the bay last week, went for £154 plus p&p.

Good ol' supply and demand

Oddly they're selling for much higher prices in the US than in the UK at the moment. The one you were watching was both used and chrome; perhaps I should put mine on ebay and offer to send to the US :)

Heh, well the listing says 'still attached to bass', so it could end up being a bargain! :)

When I was looking to buy a Badass II there were quite a few attached to quite cheap basses and I very nearly bought such a bass. That was until I saw how mangled the saddles were! I think the reason BAs have gone up so much in price isn't just because they're not made any more, it's also because so many of the used ones for sale have been victims of bad DIY jobs - badly done, poor alignment, slots too deep/wide etc - that there's a real premium for those with uncut saddles now. In the old days you could get replacement saddle and a used bridge therefore wasn't a risk. Different story now :)

Opportunistic bump having just seen a UK auction going beyond my price with time still to run, and that's a chrome version :)

Hi Rob, no, yours is on my Jag where it's staying put! The one in this listing was a new and unopened nickel with uncut saddles, a far rarer beast!
