dougal
*SOLD NO LONGER AVAILABLE* For sale is my East J-Retro active pre-amp. *THE BASS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE* Specs are here: http://www.east-uk.com/jrhome.htm Here it is installed in my Jazz. I put some Lindy Fralin pups in her & they sound so nice passive that I'm thinking it's a waste, plus I need the cash for an upright. I've been a good Dougal and not soldered, but instead used some PC connectors (available at Maplin) so it is as good as new. I'm in Surbiton, but will post (UK domestically only) for cost (?probably about a fiver?). Edited February 22, 2008 by dougal
mr_russ
Is that a CIJ jb75-100us? if so, how do the fralins compare to the stock pickups?

Do you think it would be suitable to put in to my fretless Jap Jazz? The pick ups are factory fitted (in early 1980's) and have only just been re-magnetised, so I'd like to keep 'em. The stocks were a bit weedy, and never really let the natural sound of the bass through.
Do you think it would be suitable to put in to my fretless Jap Jazz?
Yes, very much so.
