Is that your number one consideration when buying a bass (like 99% of Rickenbacker owners it seems) or are you deeper than that ?

Wise words from a very clever and talented guy. Having said that, his tendency to constantly re-invent himself (see points 5 and 7 above) can make him a challenging act to support!

This reminds me of when I was in an originals band in the mid 90's.

We had one rule we lived by: If you want to be a star, you have to act like a star!

We did, and we never became stars, but it was great fun trying!
