johnny_frog Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 "needs restoration to be perfect" really? d'ya think? "It looks like the 2 pieces on front of bass were painted by someone, but over all I see NO damage to Bass neck or body" should have gone to Specsavers Quote
jsixties Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 What a nonsense auction Great title for the post by the way! Quote
chrismuzz Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 "but over all I see NO damage to Bass neck or body" No, it's just a very poor attempt at 'relicing' Quote
Happy Jack Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I think we're all better off not knowing, actually. That is one of the most hideous things I've ever seen. It's so bad that it doesn't even offer a clue as to what the inmate thought he was trying to achieve before the men in white coats wrestled him to the floor and put him under restraint. Quote
mart Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 At least he's honest and says it's only 3/4 of a body! Quote

Could be a Grabber bridge, overpainted black. No idea about the rest of it, but I think the only other Gibson part is the neck plate. Unless someone can think of a string-thru, bolt on Gibson body with controls accessed from the back. I can't. Quote

spinynorman Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 Some people just shouldn't be allowed to own a saw. And after all that, it still didn't fit the case. Quote
