mcnach
If you can find one, get an old MTD Kingston (horrible resale ), get Wizard to re-wind the pick up and put a Higgie pre-amp in it http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=139138
That MTD looks nice, and seems like a good spacing & pickup position. I have a 2EQ board I could build... but I think I'd be more likely to get a John East. Anyway, that's way ahead of the situation. I'll keep a note of the MTD. Will have to check them out. Bad resale value? Sounds like a good buy used!
mcnach
Just found the Pingray's pic... it's much better.
Very nice Rich. I would not be averse to have such logo on one of my basses one day. Especially one that's Stingray shaped with 5 strings. We may have to talk about those mates rates you mention sometime, preferably in front of a beer or two. It's not something I can consider at least for a few months... but you've planted a seed there, and the more I think about it, the more I like it, you evil evil man
Darkstrike
If you could find an old Lakland 55-76, you'd be sorted. Nordstrand are planning on doing a 5er with a single MM pickup and their new 2 band MM pre, which will be available in 19mm spacing.
