If you can find one, get an old MTD Kingston (horrible resale :) ), get Wizard to re-wind the pick up and put a Higgie pre-amp in it http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=139138
That MTD looks nice, and seems like a good spacing & pickup position.

I have a 2EQ board I could build... but I think I'd be more likely to get a John East.

Anyway, that's way ahead of the situation. I'll keep a note of the MTD. Will have to check them out. Bad resale value? Sounds like a good buy used! :)

Very nice Rich.

I would not be averse to have such logo on one of my basses one day. Especially one that's Stingray shaped with 5 strings.

We may have to talk about those mates rates you mention :) sometime, preferably in front of a beer or two.
It's not something I can consider at least for a few months... but you've planted a seed there, and the more I think about it, the more I like it, you evil evil man :)
