Bankai
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/gibson-t...-ebony/79105980 Thunderbird usually has silver/chrome tuners and bridge. And the trusscover has silver writing on it? May well be wrong though.
Bankai
and the pickguard is white as well usually. Can't help but think it's just an epiphone. But as I said, I'm most probably wrong!
BigRedX
The Epiphone Thunderbird Pro does come in black, but it's translucent and the neck laminates are clearly visible. Also the bridge and the control layout are different. IIRC there was an Epiphone Thunderbird with either the proper Gibson-style through neck or at least a set neck made for the Japanese market as part of the Elitist series. These are fairly rare though.
neepheid
Nothing jumping out at me. He mentions that the pickguard is a custom addition. The post '87 Thunderbird has a smaller headstock than before, black hardware, smaller tuners. TRC logo looks gold to me. Serial number is in the right place along with "Made in USA" stamped underneath, although I can't read the serial because of the flash. farmer61
Check out the serial number with Gibson, they'll let you know what model it is.
Marky L
Looks OK to me. My standard 2000 model is similar, black PUPs and tuners, though with the standard white pickguard. The paint is very slightly translucent and you can just see the wood grain if you catch the light right.
