Jamesrt2004
Ok... So what I want to IDEALLY do... I basically play with my bass droped to, B F# B E... what I was thinking is getting bass setup PROPERLY with the bottom 4 string os a 5 string.... common in practice, just need to file the nut for the B to fit.. (that's fine, I have a just a nut 2 fitted so can just replace if/when I sell) now obviously that will leave me with B E A D so the E A D will need to be tuned up a tone.. Do you think (with a proper setup) that it should be ok? I'd rather not fart around working out everything again on bass, I can't see a problem with it personally. Discuss any help appreciated
Ou7shined
It's entirely doable... but it very much depends upon your neck whether or not it can maintain the extra (minimal) tension. Give it a go and see.
