dan2112
Just saw on Mark Gooday's Facebook page that a 550w version of the little bastard amp is coming soon. He does mention that it will be the same size too.
Musicman20
Must be Class D, eg like the Bass Terror.

Pow_22
isnt the Little Bastard an ALL valve unlike the orange?
ben604
Surely an all-valve 550w head would weigh more than a crate of Ampeg SVT-CL heads?
dan2112
also wouldn't a 550 watt all valve head be stupid loud? I'm also guessing a class d power amp and would be very similar to the orange bass terror.

I doubt it would be an all valve 550W amp.
BruceBass3901
Is there any chance you have an image of the post? I'm really intrigued by this
dan2112
That's the post....but it does show the original 'bastard.
thebassman
That's the post....but it does show the original 'bastard.
It has to be solid state power section. If you think a Mesa 400+ is only 300 watts and it has 12 6l6's in the output stage. It would be the size of a small house and weigh the same lol. phatbass787
They already do a 430 watt all valve little bastard which is the 427 - http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...alve&ID=230 and thats the weight and size of a house, imagine therefore this must be class D or solid state to be the same size as an LB30, think this could be very cool by the sound of it, love my LB30, one with 550 watts will be monstrous! eude
They have hinted at possibly doing a Class D head with the new valve preamp, I was hoping it'd be a bit more compact though, something like the GK MB Fusion perhaps...
BruceBass3901
I've just been told that it will have a Bang & Olufsen Class D power section on one of their photos on Facebook

Does it really need to be so big then?... Eude
