Rumple
A little confused by the Monte Allums site and wondered what one of the 3 mod kits on offer are best for bass. Cheers R.
clauster
I've had the opto mod and upgraded to the opto-plus mod. At home the opto-plus was marginally better but in a band seting there wasn't a noticable difference. Out of those two, unless you love soldering, I'd go for the opto mod. I haven't tried the new ultra mod, but reading the description it might be more aimed at guitarists. Adds sparkle/jangle.
Rumple
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I have a friend who is an eletrical engineer and good with a soldering iron who is going to do all the hard work so I may go for the opto plus. Cheers R. clauster
Update - just bought a used CS3 off the 'bay. Might have to order the ultra mod just to see what it's like with bass.
Rumple
That will be interesting, you will have to let me know how it turns out. I have just received the CS-3 I won on Ebay to and I have ordered the Opto Plus mod, I hope it makes a difference as it's not much cop in it's standard form
clauster
The opto-mod makes a huge difference to the standard pedal. The opto+ an improvement over that.
