I notice these basses are a good P/J compromise, plus the White/sunburst looks great!

Has anyone tried these new production models?

How well built are they? Price seems fair...

Tank like construction - if you want something that isn't a Fender but sounds like one and has US equivalent build quality then you're sorted.

I played a couple at the bass guitar show in London and 100% agree with machines. Really substantial feeling basses. Go for it!

I really liked the 1024x and ended up buying a 424... Value wise the 424s can be picked up at amazing prices, but the 1024 is a better bass IMO.

IMO, no. But If I had the extra to spend I'd get it. I'm so full of s*** sometimes.

Last I checked there was a black 1024X for sale at the Swedish bass forum - mint condition and still available at 4000 SEK (what's that, around 380 GBP?). I'll be happy to man-in-the-middle it if anyone's interested.
