Musicman20 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I notice these basses are a good P/J compromise, plus the White/sunburst looks great! Has anyone tried these new production models? How well built are they? Price seems fair... Quote
Machines Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Tank like construction - if you want something that isn't a Fender but sounds like one and has US equivalent build quality then you're sorted. Quote
MythSte Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I played a couple at the bass guitar show in London and 100% agree with machines. Really substantial feeling basses. Go for it! Quote

Value wise the 424s can be picked up at amazing prices, but the 1024 is a better bass IMO. Quote
Machines Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 1024 definitely better, but is it £500 better ? Quote

BB3000S Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Last I checked there was a black 1024X for sale at the Swedish bass forum - mint condition and still available at 4000 SEK (what's that, around 380 GBP?). I'll be happy to man-in-the-middle it if anyone's interested. Quote
