The ACG Thread

Yes, both Finns, one headed and one headless (of course!). Both have leds on the side of the neck, and the red ones in the headless Finn look great with the blue body.

I believe the fingerboard in the headed Finn is called Lava Bubinga, or something like that. This one has a piezo pickup in the bridge as well as the normal pick up, with one of the filter knobs controlling it. The headless has an East retro, which I admit to finding easier to control. Both are lovely, as is the tulipwood faced bodied Recurve Graft I have, which for some reason I cant find a picture of.

The blue body looks a lot better in real life, as Alans pictures came out a bit darker than reality. It has a hint of green in it, which I like. The Finn is far and away my favourite ACG body shape, and really comfy for me, as a lifelong salad dodger to play.

Better late than never, here's my oh so lovely ACG Finn SC Classic BO 5 string.
Swamp Ash body, with "Dirty Ash" Finish, 3 piece Wenge neck and Bloodwood fingerboard.
Single RFB Pickup, with Series/Parallel/Singlecoil switching and an ACG EQ02 with passive tone control.

It's a 33" scale bass, with a low B, so it's an absolute dream to get around and the lightweight body makes you forget you've even got thing on, even with the Wenge neck! I think from the full bass pictures, you can really get a feel for how compact this bass is :)
It can provide a huge range of tones from subtle to barking dog, thanks to the versatility of the ACG Preamp and the coil switching in the pickup.

Anyway, I should stop my rambling and show off my pride and joy :)

Cheers,
Eude

Hey guys, I popped these on my build thread but they should really be in here too...

As you can see, my 2 go very nicely together...

When I finally get a reasonable amount of time in daylight I'll get some proper shots of my ACGs, but hopefully these will do for now...

Thanks mate, I'm over the moon with both of them.
I was playing the 6 string through headphones last night for the first time, and the natural tone of the intsrument just blows me away!
It's exactly what I was hoping for, especially the sound from the front pickup :)

Once we've moved house, probably in about a month, I'll have a lot more room for bassey goodness, so I'll get set up to do some recordings of both my ACGs, perhaps even some video too, if you guys can stand my ugly mug ;)
