Korg DTR 1000

I know I'm technically challenged so does anyone know how I can mute my bass when tuning up on stage with my Korg DTR1000? I use seperate pre/power and I'll bet I've just got the link in the wrong socket.

Yup.

Plug your bass into the tuner. Plug the output of the tuner into the input on your pre. Connect the power as you would normally. Out a latched footswitch in the mute socket on the back of the tuner. Job done.
