fretmeister
I'm going Hartke. I'm not gigging at the moment. so a Hydrive 1x12 would be very sensible. But the 4x10 looks sooooo goood. Give me reasons for the wife so I need a 410 in the house. ta

Roland Rock
More space for coffee cups Better residual values (probably) According to Feng Shui, things in multiples of four bring good vibes (possibly) 1x12 = 12 inches, 4x10 = 40 inches. Therefore for a mere 59% more money, you get 333% more inches (fact) Edited June 12, 2011 by Roland Rock

Ed_S
Go with the "if I buy the smaller one I might need to trade up later, whereas the bigger one is all I'll ever need" line.
fretmeister
Had a discussion. She said it would take up too much room. I probably should not have said that the 810 would take up less room than she does. Beer is a terrible muse sometimes.
waynepunkdude
Tell her it'll take up less floor space, worked with my missus. Edited June 12, 2011 by waynepunkdude

waynepunkdude
There's a Hartke 810 in the FS section, play to win my friend.
Monckyman
I`m liking the "vertical takes less space" argument." Very Hong Kong logic. Wayne is that a pic of your Ampeg gubbins? What`s on the bottom?
Bloc Riff Nut
Just get the 410 and tell her it's a 112. Will she really know the difference?

steve-bbb
as a hydrive 4x10 owner i would say get the 4x10 now and then sneak in the 1x15 later while she's distracted

Bassy enough without a 15? You using a Hartke head too?
Truckstop
Get a 4x15 and wheel it into the house. Tell your missus it's a 4x10 and you made a mistake and you didnt think it'd be so big! Then, return the 4x15 and buy a 4x10. She'll appreciate the effort you've made into buying a "smaller" cab just to keep her happy! fretmeister
I think I'm leaning towards the 410. Or a pair of 112. Damnit I need to find a shop that has them all in stock and take my bass for a try out.
