I brought new for around the £370 mark in 2006. Hell, I'll even throw in a brand new set of strings too if you pick-up from me in Southampton Would make for a great spare 5 string or as a great introduction into 5 string basses!!! Kev
hows the B, honestly?
MuddBass
The B is what i would describe honestly as 'fairly' tight, with plenty of bite & grip when used in Active mode. Passive mode not quite as nice. For the value of the bass its good
MissPenguin
You're in Southampton! That's where I live! This looks slightly possible.. I'm guessing there is somewhere in this city we can get books on how to play 5 string?.. If not.. I could probably work it out. Is this still available? Please reply! MuddBass
Bump - Still need to sell - to help funds towards a fretless Anyone wanting a back up five string, or a decent 5 string to start learning on - this is a bargain!
hubrad
Dunno if this helps - free bump anyway - but I have the Congress 5 Fretless. The original strings sounded, well, all right until you got to the B which was pants! Now equipped with Picato flats and vastly improved. I also upgraded the pickups to EMG 40 J and P5 for yet further improvement. Nice inexpensive basses, the Crafters. Many good comments from bands in which I've played, too. £165 seems like a super bargain price! p.s. I might be selling this Crafter on once I get my No.1 bass - Ibanez mega-customised - back on the road.
