The bass comes with new strings (25 euro) and professional setup by James O'Halloran. (160 euro) I have upgraded the bridge with a Hipshot Fender replacement bridge. which has added an extra stability to the tuning, intonation and weight balance of the instrument (cost 100 euro) It's material is brass with a chrome finish. (Case has a few small signs of wear) This bass is a fantastic workhorse which I have used successfully both live and in the studio and has proved easily as good if not better than many of the original 70's Jazz basses I have played. It is beautifully balanced and has a great range of tones. I'm selling as I am in the market for a 5/6 string bass. These basses are for sale on Thomann for 1840 GBP so I think, in light of that and the fact it's in perfect condition, 1000 GBP is a very fair price. Can meet up in London or Dublin but other than that buyer pays postage.
