Having a thought about getting myself a second Laney 1x15" cab and stacking them sideways to make it taller. there are, however, three problems with this:

1 - the feet are on the bottom
2 - if I were to put feet on the side of the cab that was going on top I wouldn't get the cover on it so i can't do that
3 - the handles stick stick out slightly proud of the cab so I need to have something between them

Does anyone know of anything you can get for something like this or a type of rubber or foam that I could put between the two cabs that wouldn't cause the top cab to bounce around?

Yes.
Rubber beer mats.
The long 40cm by 10 cm strip ones. They`re about a centimetre thick so should clear your handle.
Or, a square of flightcase lining foam, the stiffer type, cut to the profile of your cab, but with a handle shaped hole cut out! Available on ebay.
I also use camping mat which is cheap as chips at £stretcher, and camping/car non slip rubber sheet, to avoid slippage. Also at £stretcher. This stuff is also great for keeping things on top of your cab also, like phones, netbooks, recorders etc.
Both of the above are also great to protect stuff in transit as packing.

You can get rubber cab feet from Maplins for about £4 a set. Just put them in between the cabs and keep them in the cable bag when not in use.

If both cabs are the same size then replace the corners with ones that interlock, which most of the plastic ones do. Available from Maplin or Blue Aran amongst others.
