Prime_BASS
I can only guess that JAB means jazz bass and the H05 is some kind of part number, as in HO5 connects to H04 etc???? You should be able to date it by the serial number via the Febder website though.
LukeFRC
JAB jaguar bass? H05 is the secret japanese code that if you collect them all you get special super bass skills. Fender japan got some of the guys who market pokemon to help them out with that one.
neilb
Id say JAB are intials of staff member assembling bass, the others are just part/batch numbers. Put it back together and play the bloody thing! Edited June 15, 2011 by neilb

pete.young
JAB is the Fender Japan model designation for the Jaguar Bass. The 'S' at the start of the Serial number indicates that it was made between 2006 and 2008. Don't know about the H05, sorry.

YouMa
HO5 is a type of experiment resulting in a hybrid between the human and the animal kingdom.
Nostromo
From what I've pickup up over the years, reading stuff and listewning to people much more expert than me, I'd report that stamped neck and neck pocket markings usually designate either model identification info, date info (though some date info is penciled in) and occasionally production information which varied from factory to factory and time to time . . so I think you'll find it real difficult to get to the bottom of markings like "H05" which is 99% sure going to be some sort of production code info ? so yep . . . put it back together and play if before you start running google searches on production codes . . . please dont start doing that ! . . . Delberthot
H05 sounds like it could be either something like the month code and year eg August 2005 or some magical coming together of two elements to give Hydrogen Quintoxide HO[sub]5[/sub] Edited June 16, 2011 by Delberthot
