Mike
Hi all - anyone selling a reasonably okay french bow? Looking to spend up to about £400 - something wooden, light and french style, would be nice. Cheers Mike
chrkelly
For that kind of money I'd stay with carbon. You're not going to get anything significantly better that's wooden until you start spending big money. I have a Finale http://www.stringemporium.com/carbon-fiber...t-bass-bows.htm I bought it as a spare to my Bryant bow but I have actually ended up using it quite a lot on shows/outdoor gigs etc. It plays amazingly for the money. Comes to around £300 inc postage and customs charges.

Mike
Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking at this. How do you think it stacks up against the finale? Bilbo
Can't really say but I have read somewhere that the Finale compares favourably to pernambuco bows that cost 4 figures. If you want to come to Felixstowe to check the Finale out, Mike, get in touch.
