mr.noisy
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/marcus-m...e-bass/81515687 This is the first time i've seen something like this. Looks like a really nice work, and it's a five string model copy wchich originaly Fender made in U.S.A. and these models are as twice expensive as the Japanese four string model. Even if the hardware, pickups and electronics are cheap chinese stuff 185 pounds for this bass seems to be a great bargain. If i had some spare cash i'd try this one! mr.noisy
Yup, it's definitely a copy, there is no binding on the neck (i think) and there is no separate battery cover on the scratchplate and no badass bridge.
dc2009
I spoke to the guy on the phone, who was clear in saying, you understand it's a copy right? He told me that they were very nice basses however (chinese made I think he said), and that he would be getting more in soon, and this looks like his next one (the last was natural). That may be all he is able to afford, that may be all he wants to bring into the market (no need to flood the market from his point of view). The last one he had was in natural. They seem nice enough, but can ofc only be taken at the same value as OLP, Crafter, Shine, etc etc, it's just they've chosen a rather nice and slightly rarer bass to copy! I would imagine therefore, that there is a factory in China churning these out at a very slow rate, if anyone here had some chinese perhaps they could find out (doubt they even have an engrish website). mr.noisy
I'm just wondering if he (that guy) installed the logo or factory did this? There is no close-up photo but even on these pictures i can see there is a Fender logo, i know you can find many of Fender replacement logo's around the internet but i've never seen Marcus Miller logo for sale anywhere. Machines
Jeez, those Tradetang things are hideous. It's as if someone described on the phone what it should look like rather than sending a design draft.
