Dave Vader
I would post setlists for all my many bands, but they would just make me depressed. Sorry, will try again later when I am more cheerful and helpful. Oh, and Mr Fudge, I would enjoy your whole show, I would shout for more, and then you would play ELO at me, and I would get huffy and walk out. mike257
Some cracking sets in here, some good suggestions! Pretty new to the covers band thing, we threw a set together at short notice for a family friend, and bagged a few more bookings out of it (Guilty confession: I'm playing lead g***ar) Our current set looks like this (not in this order mind, just as I can reel them off!) Dancing In The Dark - Bruce Springsteen Use Somebody - Kings Of Leon My Girl - Temptations Ring Of Fire - Johnny Cash Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers Trouble - Ray Lamontagne Summer Of '69 - Bryan Adams Stand By Me - Ben E King To Love Somebody - The Bee Gees Twist And Shout - The Beatles Stay With Me - The Faces Billie Jean - Michael Jackson Superstition - Stevie Wonder 20th Century Boy - T-Rex Take On Me - A-Ha Living On A Prayer - Bon Jovi Help! - The Beatles Times Like These - Foo Fighters Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry Easy Like Sunday Morning - The Commodores
Mr Fudge
Oh, and Mr Fudge, I would enjoy your whole show, I would shout for more, and then you would play ELO at me, and I would get huffy and walk out.
I know what you mean. ELO/ Queen/ Eagles et al ... fantastic songs, musicians, production but I really would not be bothered if I never heard or played anything by them ever again. Hopefully our "Vision On" Outro would negate too much huffyness.
Bilbo
I guess there is some relationship between the set lists people have and the complexity of arrangements. ELO/Queen stuff you see tends to be the more 'basic' tunes (Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Don't Stop Me Now) rather than the heavier arranged stuff. A lot of the better stuff by these kinds of bands couldn't be done justice by an average 4-piece

Doddy
Take a look at my previous post, its aimed at a 15-20 audience (we're a rather young band, 16-18), with some older stuff but mostly teen stuff. We used to cater for all at one point with songs from the 70's to brand new releases. Liam
I would have thought that your set would be more aimed at people in their early to mid 20's as most of the audience you're aiming at-and yourselves- must have been between about 6-11 when most of your set were originally released? JoshL
Just about to start something called level 3 rock award at college so I'll have a more permanent set list once that gets going as we are assessed on a 25 minute set. In the prep for it so far this year though here's a few of the songs we worked on: I shot the sheriff-Bob Marley Bring me to life-Evanessance Gold Lion-The Yeah Yeah Yeah's Underdog-You Me At Six Shoot the runner-Kasabian Rules don't stop-We Are Scientists Another one bites the dust-Queen Golden touch-Razorlite Black horse and the cherry tree-KT Tunstall Feeling good-Muse When the night feels my song-Bedouin Soundclash September-Earth Wind and Fire Closer to the edge-30 Seconds To Mars Ain't no sunshine-Bill Withers Thats just a selection and I'll hopefully have a more permanent set list once the rock award starts cause as you can see the genres I've done this year is rather varied.
