hopefully i can get one made. would be sweet.

Jon is a true gentleman and a phenomenal luthier, he's working on a project for me at the moment.

I realised that I'd contracted him to do some work without actually seeing or playing any of his work in the flesh, but I have to tell you, once I got there, I was amazed at what he produced. The quality is just astounding. I was much more impressed with his basses than some SIGNIFICANTLY more well known and expensive basses that I've seen and played. I didn't get to try loads of different ones so I can't tell you how they all sound but the ones I did try were great, I don't think you can go wrong opting for a Shuker.

+ another million!
You won't be disappointed, plus I doubt it'd cost you much more than a Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub and probably less than one of those new American Standard Fender P Basses...

Keep us all posted, sounds like it'd be one hell of a sexy bass!

Cheers,
Eude
Out of interest anyone done the shuker build your own bass week?

Was thinking of doing it with daddy in law.

Cheers

Yes someone on here has but I can't remember who...

I was just looking at the flyer for that course earlier today. It does say that you need basic woodworking skills (which stands to reason) but I struggle to hammer a nail in so I'm a bit unsure as to whether I'd be capable.
i also got a quote from dan lakin for the same spec and he quoted $4200! $800 to put blocks and binding in.
Ha ha ha That's a "I don't want to do it but I will if you pay me enough" quote...

Welcome to the Shuker club (South Wales chapter).
Jon's great, his work is great. You'll not be disappointed.
If you don't like I'd like first refusal, please ...

It will cost a bit more than the new US P bass but it will be so much better and most of the cost will be for hand built craftsmanship of the highest order rather than brand, shipping, tax and duty :) ...

If you want to come and spend a few hours with my 5 string JJB just come over, or wait 'til the bash ...

This sounds interesting - keep us posted :)

I've been toying with the idea of getting Jon to make a P for me sometime next year (need to pay off a credit card first!!) so will be interested to see if this happens and how you get on with it!
