TO Import or not

Morning fellow BCer's
I've recently I 've been looking at getting one of Chunk Systems Brown Dog fuzz pedal.
but I'm torn between gettin one from the states or buying from over here as the ones in the states are cheaper inc postage.
on previous exp.when I have bought from overseas(states)I have been hit with import taxes from Royal Fail.
My question is how much import duty would i be expected to pay on a pedal costing £162+£9.00 postage

First up get the Brown Dog as it is an awesome pedal and works brilliantly with their Agent OO Funk pedal too.

Using the import duty calculator that Shambo linked to it looks like the total cost would be £205.94, in which case I would go to Bass Direct as it looks like they are still selling them for £200 + £4 shipping. Link below:

A definite no brainer to me!

I have imported many things from the States and have yet to get away with not paying import duty and VAT!!

I didnt know what went wrong there-It seemed to take forever to post.

One important thing to take into account is that if you buy from the States the pedal might not be covered by a warranty over here.
If the price difference is minimal it's not worth taking the risk.
